Our well equipped studio includes G5 and G4 Macintosh work stations. At the heart
of the department is the Basysprint UV-Setter 57,
a CTcP system with a maximum image size of 690 x 940mm, allowing us to
digitally expose conventional plates. We
have the skills and resources to handle all your digital and analogue
artwork in most formats.
Delivering artwork
Digital artwork can be supplied on CD, ZIP, via ISDN (0121 523 0023) or email. If sending via ISDN, please include the job name and your order reference in the name of the folder, as this helps us to match your files with your order. Artwork should ideally be created in one of the following applications:-
- Quark Xpress 6.5
- Adobe Pagemaker (preferably saved as an EPS file)
- Adobe Indesign CS2
- Adobe Illustrator CS2
- Adobe Photoshop CS2
- Coreldraw (please save as version 10 files, open in Adobe Illustrator and save)
If the application is not listed above, please save as a PDF file - please ensure that the image is centred on the page and include all page boxes. Please also ensure that appropriate press ready distiller options have been selected.
Alternatively you can supply an EPS file, preferably with a bounding box to indicate the document size. Please note that a colour hard copy must be provided with ALL JOBS.

Images
- All 4 colour process images should be provided in CMYK format (not RGB) and scanned to final size at 300dpi.
- Greyscale images should also be scanned to final size at 300dpi.
- Bitmap images need to be a higher resolution (about 1000dpi). Text prints sharper at this resolution.
- If the job is to be printed in spot colours, this should be clearly specified (please indicate if the pantone numbers used in the file are the correct colours to print the final job). Images should ideally be saved in EPS or TIFF formats.
